a note on technology

we know most skiers have opinions about the current “technological progress” reaching this world. we aren’t here to argue with them. actually, we hold most of them ourselves. the modern internet is built to keep you looking at it. a mountain asks the opposite, and it’s given us the best days of our lives. so we know which one we’re loyal to.

corduroy was not built to house your data, figure out who you are, or sell your attention to anyone. it was built to bring more people into a sport we’ve called home, to make the mountain easy to reach and easier to trust, and to keep the people already here safe.

every mountain has a few people who know it well. patrol, lifties, the regulars. we built corduroy to carry what they know to everyone about to put their boots on, so the only thing on your mind is the snow in front of you. for the winters we still have left, we’d rather you spend them skiing.
